I have not had any problems with MCEBuddy finding and processing my shows.
But, I am processing my files wth the H.264 no-resize default profile and while the picture is beautiful I find the panning to be a bit jerky, it looks like a video with dropped frames. I have played these files back on an assortment of hardware using Windows Media Player and XBMC with the same results. The original files do not display this issue with panning. Is this something I can correct by using less compression or is this always and artifact of the compression process.
Great product.
I too am finding that, using the H264 no-resize default profile on a dvr-ms file produced by Windows Media Center (WMC), the resultant MP4 file gives a good picture but is jerky when rapid panning. I am in the UK and used WMC to record UK TV prgrammes which I presume are at 50Hz.. I note that, in another post, it was suggested that the framerate function (ofps) in the mencoder.conf file be changed but this does not seem to be present for the H264 default profile. I echo others in saying that MCEBuddy is a great tool.
The old support forum is here http://archive.mcebuddy.com/forums/. It also contains a lot of useful information on MCEBuddy. If nothing shows within a forum, click on the "More Options" button and change the date range.
