On Windows Vista 32 I uninstalled
MCEBuddy 1.0.7., ffdshow, and
.net framework
from the Programs and Features window. None then appeared in the programs list.
On re-install, I was informed that .net already existed on its re-install; and then
on re-install of MCEBuddy on the "MCEBuddy installing" window
"Error 1001: The specified service already exists." [ OK ] then "Error 1001: Could not find file 'C:\path\MCEBuddyConfig.InstallState.' [ OK ]
and then
"The installation was interrupted before MCEBuddy could be installed.
You need to restart the install to try again." [ CLOSE ]
Trying the install again yields the same results.
MCEBuddy and .net do not show up in the Programs and Features window of Vista 32,
so they cannot be uninstalled. ffdshow does show up in the list.
Tried version 1.0.8 with same results.
Icon does not show up in the task bar.
Program does not show up in start menu.
No way to access program.
So, no way to back out or go forward without taking down Vista entirely.
Any ideas?

It worked well until I uninstalled it as a debugging step. The
problem since fixed was hardware memory. I would love to get back to
using this great program. )
