    Mapped Drive

    Greetings,

I just learned about MCEBuddy and downloaded it today. It looks like a great feature set.  Just wanted to mention one thing that I tried that seemed to be a problem.  My MCE computer is on my network and I installed MCEBuddy on my XP Pro pc.  I have a drive letter mapped to the shared folder on the MCE computer with my recorded tv stuff.  When I tell MCEBuddy the folder to find dvr-ms files I browse to the shared drive by the drive letter, after I enter this into the field it is replaced with the UNC for the share and then I get an error message that says:

CRITICAL ERROR: Unable to access TV recording path \\computername\share

If I change the source location to the local computer I do not get the error.

    Thanks,
    Allen

Just in case you havent tried it, when using the network paths to grab content, case sensitivity is important. If you just type in the path or map a drive letter it wont work, you have to browse the network to the share.

     Hope this helps

If you check the config guide it tells you wat to do.

MCEbuddy runs as a service so it does NOT use the currently logged on user. You need to specify what username/password to connect with (the dude with the key button).  If you want to use the same account as the logged in user, specify the same username/password here.

    Cheers

    Derek
