Won't process files with Chinese characters

recorded TV with Chinese characters in the name seem to be unrecognized by mcebuddy.  Once I rename the files without chinese characters it starts conversion.  I'm using vista ultimate x86

    thanks

    other than that great program

found a workaround thanks to gritree on AVS forums

I changed all my recordings to manual recordings with English names then used this tool  http://www.mcedev.com/Product.aspx?id=0274d97e-d7a1-4b4b-a208-c7c8a64cceba

to edit the filenaming string to include only the name and date

a scheduled recording hasn't happened yet, but I'm pretty sure this will work

    I'll report back

    worked perfectly

still would be nice if MCEBuddy supported Chinese characters so I didn't need to use manual records though

Try changing your system locale to match the language you're trying to use.  I'm using Japanese, and it works just fine.
