Support for WMV9 Encoding and a Quality Slider

    Hi there,

First off, awesome program =D. I have a quad core and it works like a charm!

    2 things...

First off.. Converting HD 1080 native TV signal to H264... the quality deminishes a great deal.... the file size goes from 16GB to 1GB...

a 1GB HD 1080 file is good... but the quality is poor... if you could have a slider.. with like estimated file size or something.. so u can make it 4 gigs .. or something to retain more quality that would be great.

Another thing is.. why was WMV2 chosen instead of WMV3... cause most HD formats used today use WMV3 (wmv-9) which retains alot of quality also.

thanks for an awesome program and i await your response.

In MCEBuddy 2.0 we're automatically correcting the bitrate based upon the destination size, so hopefully the slider won't be needed. If the auto function doesn't work, then slider is the fallback.

As for WMV3, the problem is the incompatibility between MS and GPL licensing (what I can bundle together and distribute).  Do a search on WMV3 on this site an you'll find a few of my eplainations or if you're on the beta you'll get a more detailed description later.
