MCEBuddy + Stand Alone DVD player

Both my wife and I have new, home-built computers with Vista Ultimate and TV capture cards.  We were hoping to use MCEBuddy to automatically convert programs we have recorded to DivX, and then burn them to DVD-RW and watch them on the bedroom TV using our Philips DVP642 DVD player.  Our player has never had any issues recognizing and playing any DivX or Xvid file, and we have tried them from dozens of sources.  However, for DivX files created by MCEBuddy, the player acknowledges that the file is on the DVD, but will not play it.  Does anyone have any idea what the issue may be, and if it is resolvable?

Divx files made with MCEBuddy from Vista Media Center play fine here on Philips DVP3960.  Do your files play OK on your PC?

This is really hard and a bit hit and miss as not all DVD+DivX players were created equal.  All I can say is that in MCEBuddy 2.0 we're splitting the DivX/Xvid path and providing the DivX encode as even more compatible with low end devices (such as DVD players) and providing a high quality Xvid one.
