Hello. I am having problems with H.264 conversions resulting in "Conversion failed at 99%" and a 0-byte output file.
I use the "H.264 Apple Compatible" profile. What could be the problem?

Also, a H.264 conversion of one movie takes around 5 to 6 hours on my Acer LivingCenter PC (AMD Athlon 64 3400+, 2200MHz processor with 1GB RAM). Is this normal? I have around 100 movies scheduled for conversion, so this would take at least 500 hours then, or 60 days if I convert only between 1am and 9am :-( WMV conversions seem to take 1-2 hours for each movie.

These are the errors I get in the event log: 

Process hung, conversion or comskip cancelled.

Not sure what causes this.  Probably an issue with DVR-MS and mencoder.  Does it occur with all the recordings or just the one?

As for the time, H.264 is very CPU intensive (RAM, disk, etc are not really relevant).  Looking at the specs, ye, it could take this amount of time especially f it doesn't have multiple cores (H.264 transcode works best with more cores).
