In the startup group on Windows Vista, I have MCEBuddy Taskbar Monitor. This was setup as part of the the installation routine. Each time Vista starts, the UAC prompt appears asking if it is okay to start the application. It seems like the prompt should not appear - did something not install correctly?
Yes, it should appear as the monitor utility needs to be able to start and stop the MCEBuddy service (an administrative priv). However, the monitor util does not need to be running for MCEBuddy to work. if it bothers you, just delete the shortcut from the startup menu. In MCEBuddy 2.0 we are changing things so the service does not need to be started and stopped, which also also allows MCE and other plug ins to work better,
