I'm new to all of this. I have a WinTV-1600 TV capture card in my Vista Home Premium machine. I also have the Hauppauge Media MVP connected to my home theater. I'm not sure what settings to set the conversion to. The Media MVP will not read dvr-ms files, and it apparently has problems with .avi files as well. It will read Mpeg.
I tried to set the conversion to Mpeg, but then the files are not readable as they are in PAL. I live in the United States, so therefore I have to convert to NTSC.
It will also read WMV files, but MCE Buddy seems to take an hour show and cut it up into three different files.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
